Weather codes

This table contains codes and symbols that were frequently used in the so-called abstracts or extract logbooks, used in The Netherlands. Since it was not possible to key most of the symbols, we designed a code for it.

Field name	Description
Weather Code	Code used in the fields: Weather, ShapeClouds, Clearness, StateSea and CurrentDir in many of the Dutch logbooks
Description	Most likely description of what is expressed by the code/symbol
Symbol	Accompanying images (images can be found in the file "symbols.zip" and should be extracted in the same folder as the database and this file).
