Important announcement
Daily data license free as from Januari 1, 2009
Within the framework of European and national policy making, KNMI strives after a 'free-data policy'.
This means that data and information from KNMI-stations will be made freely available to the dutch citizens as much as possible.
As from January the 1st, 2009 daily data from all KNMI stations are declared license-free.
In practice this means that validated daily data from all KNMI-stations will be
posted to the internet. Up to now, these data were available for ten stations.
In addition, the number of available variables will increase.
Content and format of the ascii files will be adapted.
On this webpage the new file structure will be published, as soon as it becomes available.
