TMCF PGE: RFX

This TMCF PGE performs a number of calculations on UV and VIS radiance files when they are ingested in the TMCF system. Per UV or VIS radiance input file a (much smaller) output file is created, that is used at a later stage for investigations of the Earth's surface albedo. The PGE first divides the Earth radiance measurement data by an appropriate level-1b irradiance data product to obtain the Earth reflectance data. Then the PGE averages a number of pixels in the spectral dimension for a number of predefined spectral bands with spectral widths of about 1 nm. The averaged Earth reflectance signals of these spectral bands are stored in the output product, that is stored in the TMCF database along with its metadata.
