TMCF PGE: VISUALISATION

This IDL TMCF PGE produces a large number of plots that can be used to investigate the time dependence of certain parameters. The plots are based on output products from other TMCF PGE's that are available in the TMCF database. The PGE consists of two separate functional parts:

  • One part plots the percentages of the Quality Assurance (QA) flags in the Ground Data Processing Software (GDPS) output files. The ground pixel quality flags, the measurement quality flags and the pixel quality flags are investigated. The output is graphical and colour-coded. If a percentage exceeds a predefined threshold the colour is changed. Using the output of this PGE allows for identification of off-nominal situations in the QA flags. This part of the VISUALISATION PGE uses the output of the QAFLAGS TMCF PGE as input. This part of the VISUALISATION PGE runs once per week.
  • The second part produces a large number of plots of parameters versus time. The parameters are taken from output products of other TMCF PGE's that are available in the TMCF database. In total 714 plots are generated. The time axis covers the time from the beginning of the mission until the time the plots are generated, or, stated differently, the total time for which products with the parameter in question are available. This part of the VISUALISATION PGE runs twice per month, on the 1st and 15th of the month.
