Release status
On 17 February 2011, a new version (version 3.0) of the OMI BrO algorithm (PGE) is used to process the Collection 3.0 OMI data to retrieve BrO vertical columns. The complete data set is now being reprocessed with the new algorithm PGE version and is will become available from the GES-DISC and Mirador site.
V3.0 of OMBRO marks an significant improvement over V2.0, particularly in the reduction of noise in the data product, which is also associated with lower fitting uncertainties. Note that the Algorithm Version number is stored within the data product file, in the Metadata field PGEVERSION and relates to the level 2 data. The number in the data file relates to the version of the level 1 data.
