Comparison of Challenge data (member 1) with NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis

The images below show a comparison of the output of challenge ensemble-member 1 with the NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis data. For each of the four seasons the seasonal mean of several outputfields (Temperature Surface Air, Pressure Sea Level, Precipitation etc.) is compared.

The first column ( CCMS 1950-1979) shows seasonal means of Challenge member 1 for the period 1950-1979.

The second column (NCEP/NCAR 1950-1979) shows seasonal means of the NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis for the period 1950-1979.

The third column (CCMS 1950-1979&2050-2079) shows the change in seasonal means of time era 2050-2079 with respect to time era 1950-1979 of Challenge member 1.
