Aims of the ECN with respect to the CLARA project:
Assesment of the influence of anthropogenic aerosol on the number of
cloud droplets
("indirect" aerosol radiative forcing effect on climate)
Aircraft flights with a Forward Scattering Spectrometer Probe and
additional instruments
in order to characterize the micro-physics of the actual clouds.
Study of cloud activation of ambient aerosol in the ECN cloud chamber on
cloudy versus
clear-sky days.
