The Atmospheric Research Division
investigates atmospheric energy and water budgets on local, regional
and global scales. Research is focused on the transport of heat,
water vapor and momentum by turbulence and clouds and on the
earth radiation budget in relation to clouds, aerosols and greenhouse
gases. Research includes both experimental studies and the development
of local, regional and global models.
The Atmospheric Research Division (AO) is part
of the department of Climate research and Seismology
(KS),
of the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute
(KNMI).
