The ENSO section of the KNMI Oceanographic Research section plays an active role in disseminating popular scientific information about El Niño and its effects on the weather around the globe. A selection of the english language articles available on-line is given below.

• The El Niño internet page gives a description and explanation of this ocean-weather oscillation, and gives up-to-date pictures of the current situation and forecasts. Also includes many useful links.
• We wrote a highlight about El Niño for the 1997-1998 Scientific Report.
• The public relations section also contains a lot of El Niño information.
• There are short pages on the effects of El Niño on the weather in Spain, the connection with global warming and the sunspot cycle.
