This web page provides access to the computer code of several ocean and atmosphere models that are used within the CKO. Information on how to configure, compile, and run this software is also available.
The following table lists the models and their current level of support (see also the page on support levels).
| Model | Description | Support Level |
|---|---|---|
| MICOM | The Miami Isopycnic Coordinate Ocean Model (MICOM) is the first model that is made available from this web site. | S1 |
| ECBILT | The ECBILT model is a coupled model suited for studying ocean-atmosphere dynamics on time scales of the order of thousand years. | S1 |
| SPEEDO | The SPEEDO model is an intermediate complexity earth system model suited for studying ocean-atmosphere dynamics on time scales of the order of thousand years. It uses the primitive equations and runs without flux correction. | S0 |
| OPA | OPA (Océan PAralléllisé) is an ocean model that can be applied to ocean basins as well as the global ocean. Only the global ocean version is available here. | S1 |
| GMODEL | GMODEL is a linear shallow water model of the equatorial Pacific. | S0 |
