The research in this group focuses on:

• Surface fluxes and their relation with atmospheric and surface conditions.


• Structure and processes in the stable and convective boundary layer.


• Regional surface fluxes and energy budget closure.

The development of a coherent research program within the CESAR land-atmosphere interaction working group strengthens the work in this group. Research in this CESAR group focuses on the atmospheric boundary layer, the water budget of the polder around Cabauw, exchange of carbon dioxide and its relation to land use and the micro and macro structure of rain.
