My work is focussed on satellite observations of trace gases, aerosols and clouds, for climate change and air quality research, as well as for operational applications. My expertise is on the development of novel algorithms and the interpretation of the data. Furthermore, I have have a broad experience in the development of satellite missions: from the science objectives to the operational usage. I have a part-time affiliation with the Delft University of Technology as associate professor.
In addition to the projects linked to below I am involved with the Development of L1-2 algorithms for the Copernicus Sentinel 4 and 5 missions. In addition, I am a member of the ESA Mission Advisory Group for the Sentinel 5 Precursor mission
