A revision of the latest seismicity catalogues for The Netherlands of a.o. Houtgast (1991) is being prepared. Seismicity catalogues are the basis for evaluating seismicity characteristics of the region. The current research goes back to original documents and is embedded in a European collaborative research effort. The output of these studies are and will be contributing to international databases, notably through the AHEAD initiative (see www.seismicportal.eu). Preliminary results have been used in the latest hazard update studies.
