KNMI trajectories for CLAIRE ground stations
(Cooperative LBA Airborne Regional Experiment)
10-day backward trajectories were calculated for 3 stations:
| Trajectory number | Station | trajectory colour | coordinates
|
|---|
| 1 | Alliance | green | 305.1 E | 5.9 N
|
| 2 | Sipaliwini | dark blue | 303.867 E | 2.033 N
|
| 3 | Petit Saut | red | 306.833 E | 4.917 N
|
The 3-D (u, v, dp/dt) wind from ECMWF analyses was used to
calculated the trajectories.
The trajectories were calculated for 5 different end pressures:
The results are presented in gif format.
3 numbers at the beginning of each backward trajectory indicate: trajectory number, end pressure and start pressure (hPa).
There are marks (asterisks) on the trajectories every 2 days at 18 GMT (15 LT Surinam).
There is description of the format of the trajectory data files.
