The GPS-NRT datastream is used to create an European IWV map.

The map is produced using ground based GPS. The ZTD estimates are converted into IWV using nearby SYNOP stations.

• The map below shows an animation of the last 24 hours.
• The map is updated every hour at HH:16.
• Wind barbs from 2km height, wind information taken from wind profiler, AMDAR and radiosonde ascents
• The purple squares are lightning events observed by ATD
