A Rotating Fan Beam SCATterometer, RFSCAT, will be flown in the Chinese-French Oceanic SATellite (CFOSAT) mission, following simulations based on software generated in the RFSCAT project. The collaborative effort of KNMI, IFARSS, and Astrium (GmbH) to simulate RFSCAT and compare it to existing scatterometers is briefly described in the overview paper from the SPIE proceedings of 2002 as referred to below. The project was led and funded by ESA.
