Personal information
I am a Ph.D. student in the Regional Climate division of the Royal Netherlands Metereological Institute (KNMI) since April 2010. My supervisors are Pier Siebesma (KNMI) and Roel Neggers (KNMI).
I take part in the EU Cloud Intercomparison, Process Study & Evaluation (EUCLIPSE) project which is focused on the evaluation, understanding and improvement of the interaction between clouds, convection and radiation for present and future climate conditions. I work in the WP3 which is aimed to evaluate the interaction between large-scale forcing conditions and clouds properties and their effect on the radiative budget. To this purpose the single column version of the Regional Atmospheric Climate Model (RACMO) simulations are compared to Large Eddy Simulations (LES) and data from field campaigns.
