Current Research Activities:
-
Quantifying the radiative interaction between clouds and absoring aerosols using space-based measurements. This project is supported by ESA within the Changing Earth Science Network Initiative, project
Clarifi: CLouds and Aerosols Radiative Interaction and Forcing Investigation.
Previous Research Activities:
- Inversion of optical data from the Raman lidar Caeli, based at CESAR, Cabauw, to retrieve vertical profiles of
aerosols in The Netherlands (AeroPro);
- Retrieval of aerosol information from space-based passive and active instruments;
- Retrieval of the Absorbing Aerosol Index from SCIAMACHY;
- Development of the BEAT Tutorial and accompanying software;
- Development of the SCIAMACHY PMD Imager;
- Development of a migration model for larval flatfish in Dutch waters;
