Research Interests
Climate change scenarios
A contribution to the KNMI'06 climate change scenarios was the coordination of the scientific documentation and part of the analysis of the climate scenarios.
Climate changes spatial planning
As theme coordinator of the theme Climate Scenarios in the Dutch research program Climate Changes Spatial Planning the coordination of a group of projects is carried out. In addition, the coordination of a project dealing with creation of tailored climate scenarios is a field of activity.
Land atmosphere interaction
Much of my research deals with understanding and diagnosing the degree to which land surface processes affect the regional climate, both via direct interaction with the overlying atmosphere, and via effects on the regional atmospheric circulation. On 11 July 2007 16:15hrs I gave my professor lecture entitled Interaction between heaven and earth (in Dutch) at the Main building of Utrecht University, Domplein, in Utrecht.
