Validation of Hirlam 7.2: Storm forecasts

The WAQUA/DCSM98 model has been rerun for 3 stormy periods with input from the new Hirlam version 7.2. This page presents time series of these runs and facilitates comparison with the archived operational forecasts for these periods.

How to read the plots

The plots give the astronomical tide (dotted olive), the observed water level (violet for the NL coast or orange for the GB coast), the model forecasts without data assimilation (green) and the model forecasts with data assimilation (dashed olive).
The selector on the right can be used to select different forecast periods, parameters, locations and model.
