ACCENT-MIP

Within the framework of the ACCENT Network of Excellence, a series of dedicated global model simulations have been performed to evaluate the tropospheric composition in 2030 in response to changing emissions and climate. This model intercomparison project (MIP) has contributed to the Fourth Assessment Report (AR4) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group I, in particular to Section 7.4 (Reactive Gases and the Climate System) and Section 10.4.3 (Simulations of Future Evolution of Methane, Ozone and Oxidants).

In relation to this study this page gives access to:

  • plots of concentrations simulated with the tropospheric chemistry transport model TM4 driven by operational meteorological data from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) for the year 2000.

Results have been described in a series of publications.
