The latest news:
- the observation program is now (21/12/99)
fully operational, meaning:
- daily Brewer observations of total ozone, ozone profiel (Umkehr)
and UV scans,

- weekly ozonesondes, mostly on wednesdays,
-
- 400 wide-angle pictures from the webcamera each day;
-
- the Brewer has been down over the period 10-26 November 1999,
due to a clock problem encountered with the interface computer. This
prooved to be a nasty problem which was eventually solved through
the hard work and ingenuity of Cor Becker and his operator team;
-
- Brewer UV calibration (absolute and wavelength) by Albert
Maione from company Kipp&Zn, on Arpil 1999;
-
- along with the calibration event, the
inauguration of
Paramaribo station took place on 17 April 2000;
-
- the Brewer is set for its next UV calibration around May next year,
along with a total ozone calibration using a travelling standard;
