Current Project

Working with the GOSAT satelite. The satelite observes (the O2 A-band) at high spectral resolution (0.2 cm-1 ~ 0.01 nm) and also is sensitive to the polarization of the measured light. The idea of the project is to create an algorithm to retrieve the aerosol optical thickness together with the aerosol layer height using the O2 A-band, by comparison with the results of the DAK model.

Past Projects

Worked as a post-doc at the VU Amsterdam on an ESA founded project related to the ADM-Aeolus project. My primary tasks consisted on the design of a setup to measure the Rayleigh-Brillouin scattering spectrum using a UV laser, and the measurement itself, together with data analysis and interpretation. As a PhD I worked at VU Amsterdam as well, on the measurement of highly excited states in molecules using a XUV laser.

Keywords that define my work

* O2 A-band
* Aerosols
* Radiative transfer model (DAK) user
* GOSAT satellite
* IDL user
