I have many years expertise in atmospheric chemistry-transport and dispersion modelling for climate, air pollution etc. Typical applications are the impacts of short-lived climate forcers and the influence of the transport sectors, e.g. aviation, on climate. I advise our ministry of IandM and ICAO (CAEP) on these subjects.
Presently (2015) I am involved in the EU project IGAS that will make regular civil aircraft observations of atmospheric composition from IAGOS and CARIBIC available to the Copernicus Atmosphere Service. I am also involved in KCHUL the Knowledge Centre for Healthy Urban Living.
Model outputs and observations are used to investigate the life cycles of short-lived climate forcers. CARIBIC observations have recently been used to investigate the impact of small volcano eruptions on climate.
