Cabauw observations are used to study atmospheric processes and climate variability and change, and to validate models and satellite observations. For these activities the atmospheric research facilities around the KNMI 213 high measurement mast in Cabauw are used. The Cabauw Experimental Site for Atmospheric Research is part of the national atmospheric research facility Ruisdael Observatory.
